Our Story
Owned and loved by Jonathan and Michelle Barsness, the cabin is a cedar Pan Abode log home. The cabin was originally built in the mid 1970s and located on Cougar Mountain in Bellevue, WA.
In 2007, through an enormous amount of hard work and help from family and friends, it was re-located log by log to its present spot on Kahler Glen Golf and Ski Resort.
The name Big Ponderosa is inspired by the majestic Ponderosa Pines found on the East side of Washington's Cascade Mountains. Above the cabin on Nason Ridge, we are watched over by an old growth, giant ponderosa pine tree.
