 Big Ponderosa Pine's Story:

"Trust in your dreams, for those avidly pursued with faith, generosity of spirit and love shall become."

We hope the story of how Big Ponderosa came to be will inspire all who stay.  Owned and loved by Jonathan and Michelle Barsness, the house is a cedar Pan Abode log home.  Originally built in the mid 1970s, it was located on Cougar Mountain in Bellevue, WA.  Through an enormous amount of hard work, determination and help from family and friends, it was re-located log by log to its present spot on Kahler Glen Golf and Ski Resort.

The name Big Ponderosa was inspired by the majestic Ponderosa Pines commonly found on the East side of Washington's Cascade mountains.  Above the house on Nason Ridge, we are watched over by an old growth giant Ponderosa Pine.  To find this awe inspiring beauty, hike up the road to the left and follow the old logging road about a 1/4 mile up the ridge above the house.  Here you'll find gorgeous views of Lake Wenatchee and one of the oldest and largest Ponderosa Pines in the area.
